Rounds 1 & 2 - Snetterton - Brief Report

30th March 2008

Rounds 1 & 2 - Snetterton

It was a promising day's racing all round for those involved in the VSR Series at Snetterton today.

There were close battles throughout the field, with the cars proving fairly evenly matched within the four classes

The biggest surprise of the day was the competitiveness of the VSR V8 Trophy machines, who showed that even at this early stage of the season they can match the lighter, more nimble Silhouettes through the corners and challenge for outright victory.  This form will not carry over to some of the tighter tracks, but the agility the big V8s showed through the turns is very promising indeed.

Keith White took the first win of the year in his CWS VW Corrado GT after a close battle with Steve Barnard, and brother Colin took the spoils in Race 2 by some margin.
