On Tuesday 10th July, the 98 and 99 cars from the Revolution team were on hand at the press launch for the 2007 Motorfest, to be held at Rockingham. Members of the local and motoring press heard details of the events planned for the September racing extravaganza. The 99, Fire Service car was on display outside the Rockingham welcome centre. The 98, Team BEN/Klann Tools/Revolution Chevy was inside the centre for the assembled journalists to look over. Driver, Tony Hurdle was on hand to answer any questions they had.

Also displayed were a National Hot Rod, Rally car, Pickup, Autograss Mini and Legend car. There are many different races planned for the September event, in all the classes represented, with the winners from each section going through to a winner takes all King of The Rock race.

The people present were then invited to either have a few laps around Rockingham in the two seater SCSA car, driven by Lee O’Keefe, or a quick blast in the rally car. Many took up the offer and got out of the stock car with very wide eyes (probably had something to do with the wall !!) and a new appreciation of what it takes to drive the oval.
Everyone present made encouraging noises about the September event and the chance to put on a show for all the race fans who will be present.
