12th April 2008
It was another close day's racing at Cadwell Park today, with action throughout the 4 VSR classes.
After rain descended on the Lincolnshire circuit just an hour before the start it looked as though we would be in for a wet race, but the track dried shortly before the 9 cars took to the grid.
The action was frantic from the start, but Keith White took an early lead and after the opening few laps were complete held off a hard charging Kevin Clarke and Colin White. The #78 showed excellent pace and Colin held some superb powerslides, but trouble with his brakes halted his progress. Keith White took the win, with Clarke second.
Race two was just as interesting, but with the top three reversed. Clarke took an early lead but a mistake and a subsequent off into the Hall Bends tyrewall left Colin to take the lead. Rob Compton showed improved pace in the second race, but didn't get past lap three after the Panhard bar broke on the #59 Revolution Pontiac. Keith pressured brother Colin until the end, with the pair even making contact at one point. VSR V8 Trophy driver Colin kept his head though, to take a popular second win of the season in style - once more showing that these V8 monsters are easily capable of success on the road courses.
