Season Finale
The End of the season draws near and its going down to the wire for 1st to 6th places.
With 12 cars on the grid Ollie Playle needs to finish only one of Sunday’s race’s to become The 2006 SCSA Champion, whilst Mike Luck would need to finish both races and Ollie to draw two blanks to nick the Title way from the No88 West-tec car. However Mike in his Magnaflow Backed No7 car also needs to finish only one race to secure second place in the championship.
3rd to 6th is a lot closer and could go a number of ways, with
Colin White, in 3rd place ahead of Shane Brereton by 15 point, a
10 point gap from Shane back to the newly crowned 2006 Rookie champion,
Tony Hurdle, and John Steward in 6th place just 5 points behind
Tony , meaning John is only 30 points behind Colin in third.
It will be the last lap of the last race on Sunday before we know
how this battle will shape up.
With 2006 set up and race costs so competitive for the series, there is an unprecedented level of interest in the series for 2007, well done to John, Colin, Shane, Gavin and Duane and all the drivers for making a series of it in 2006 to allow the interest to take place.
